Grandmother of Kundalini

Namaste dear friend,
I am here, in the beautiful Berkshires. Please remember
evening kirtan at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health this
Saturday, September 6, at 7:30 p.m. I will be joined by a
whole bunch of musicians and singers for "Kirtan Through
the Roof".
Later this month, Sep 26 - 28, I will be in historic Eureka
Springs in Arkansas for an intimate weekend at Little
Portion, a picturesque retreat center in the Ozarks. If you

Arkansas may seem an unusual destination for The Yoga of
Sound, but there is in the vicinity of Eureka Springs and
Fayetteville a thriving community of wide open spiritual
seekers. I would also like to bring your attention to a
fine lady, someone who I like to think of as the
Grandmother of Kundalini. Her name is Genevieve Lewis
Paulson. Neither a long eastern name nor exotic clothes:
just a regular American who you might see in line at the
local grocery and not think twice about, but she is a
powerhouse of spiritual knowledge and energy. This eighty
plus, white haired mataji travelled with us on pilgrimage
to India early this year and made it up and down holy hills
and temples. In the true tradition, she taught "by
presence". Over a decade ago, I had discovered her book
"Kundalini and the Chakras", which is a rather insightful
book on Kundalini born of her decades of experience and
reflection. She is the president of Dimensions of
Evolvement, Inc., a non-profit growth center locate on 190
acres in the Ozarks where she regularly offers programs on
Kundalini. Whenever you think of Arkansas now, think
Kundalini.
